Encouraging Our FathersEncouragement of our black fathers is vital in their developing relationships with their children. When they have a strong support system in place, and can come and express the things that are going on—even just as men—it allows them to navigate fatherhood, becoming the parent their children need. Reviving Our Black CommunitiesThe decline of our Black communities began decades ago—many neighborhoods looking like third world nations ravished by war and famine. It is time to organize and plan, and revive our communities, while giving our youth something to fight for. Looking For InspirationDid you ever feel trapped in a situation or stuck in a moment; feeling as though you have missed an opportunity? There are different seasons in life. And in some seasons, we need a little inspiration to get us going. Inspiration is all around us—we just have to know how to recognize it. Conversations Affecting Our Black ChildrenIt's time to make a change in the conversations and dialogue taking place amongst our Black children. It is time to stop putting personal issues, frustrations, experiences and placing them on the shoulders of children to carry. Getting Personal With Your FaithWhen you want to know something, do you ask questions? Of course! How else are you going to find out the answers if you don't ask questions? The same applies with our faith. Our faith/belief are personal matters. And if we have a question, then why not go to the Source and ask those questions? Fatherless Sons in the Black CommunityThere is more than enough blame to go around concerning the responsibility for our fatherless sons. However, the blame game must cease, and true, sincere, honest, and open dialogue must begin. All children need their fathers; especially sons. Only another man can teach a young boy how to be a man.
